THINGS I'D LIKE TO RIDE vol 4

Check this .Sweet

9 out of 10

I went into a bar today and walked past two tasty blonde girls sitting at a table,as I did they both looked at me a said 9. I was well chuffed and said to my mate "hey those two girls just gave me a 9 out of 10". My mate said "fuck off you twat when I walked past they were both talking German".
Shit.

Wish list

Maybe not in pink n purple- my 2 daughters would dig that!- but how about some nice retro flake mastery from the blue moon customs team. Yeah baby.

Retro revival

The Battz boys look like they're putting on another top show for our general entertainment and rockin' pleasure. Filler's going, I am as usual brassic lint. I notice Jason from Southbourne barbers will be there, he's got to be the most wildly pierced and tattooed crimpers around, and definitely yer man for a slick barnet job. If by any chance you wanna go and don't have a ticket, give Battz a call 1st, I heard they might have sold out of tickets.

ledsleds

Gotta love ledsleds, right? I have a thing for 49-53 chevs and shoebox fords, but only if they have 'the treatment'...which doesn't necessarily include 'bruised helmet' colour paintjobs.

book this one for the procession...

This is more like it. When I go in a long box, this thing can haul it. Better sort them wheels out 1st tho'...otherwise a killa ride. It's up for grabs too, 21K over on rods n sods...as someone once said, 'for that kind of money, you could build the empire state'.

Oarsum

Not strictly 'awesome' it's true, what we have is just another high-class scoot from crazy 'O', just how cool can a stock-framed sportster be? Black's so overused on bikes, it's great to see it done this well. Bates replica seat rocks, and just check all the nifty hot rod details, from firestones to superclean window bars, you name it, the boys done good once again. Sayonara muthafucka!

Crazy O

Crazy Orange that is...here's another from our favourite Far East chop shop, taking a boring stock evo and laying down far more class than an old git's bike like this should ever have. Once again, their tried 'n' trusted retro tank/seat/tyre trick works a treat with the HD frame, though the simplicity of the design belies the work and attention to detail that goes into pretty much everything these boys come out with. Keep on, orange-san...

HRD

Well, I couldn't make it-no change there-but a few of the crew made the hot rod drags last weekend. I nicked these shots off rods n sods; one of the guys who posts there quite often, 'retrophoto', puts his pix on the site, and I have to say, his work is top notch. See for yourself.

Sorry for lack of action on the blog lately, I'll be trying to keep some regular drivel comin' thru in the near future.

SUPRISE VISIT

We were sitting in the old clubhouse the other day when there was a knock on the door, youre not going believe who it was...only Prince bloody Phillip. He goes" 'ere lads check this out " and he does a cracking impression of our ol' mate Trawler. To be honest he bloody nailed it. We all pissed ourselfs laughing apart from Phil who pissed himself proper. This man will not stop at anything to get Trawler of to a tee.

kinky afro

Great shot of some funky barnets, and pretty funky chops too.

Pre-paid plan

Living by the seaside, which is a popular retirement destination, and working in the ambulance service, I am constantly surrounded by old gits, and am thus often reminded of my own mortality. Suffice to say, when they finally put me to rest, I want these bastards to do it.

Dazzer's 'Trike of the Day' #2

Seein' as Darren is clearly a high-grade connoisseur of the third wheel brotherhood, this one's for you, my bro. This dude has got it goin' on! Everything about him just screams BAD MUTHA. With this kind of class, he wouldn't even have to prospect for LOS BASTARDOS, it's straight to the top table and no mistake.

I want that hat, and it's true- you can never have too much denim.

Respect, bruv!

detroit's finest

A coupla nice motors from the Leeds Castle classic car show.

FILLER ENGINE UPDATE- I may have got a little carried away when I posted that his new motor could be one of the best in the country...trouble is, like with every crazed dictator, you gotta tell 'em what they wanna hear, else they get unstable. Darren wanted to me to put the record straight, it is gonna be a great engine, but just a real nice, homebuilt gearhead sidevalve in the proper club style.

EL SPAZCHARIOT

Now I cant stand trikes at the best of times,so i tried to be open minded and think that it takes all sorts. But I couldnt convince myself that so im sticking with the "I hate trikes" angle and this works just fine for me. But then this fella comes a long........hmmm its not a trike so i guess he's in the clear for that crime against humanity. Now ive ridden a quad and managed to crash it in the first 5 seconds of opening it up.That my friends was a laugh. So quads can be cool as long as they are in a field .
To tell the truth the more I look at this photo the more its growing on me.I think the Gringo riding this spazchariot kind of sets it off .So im going to cut him some slack ....especially as he's just delivering my Peyote.Once he's gone i'll just go back to calling him a retard.

this'll put you off yer roast dinner

Thanks to my better half for finding and scanning these dodgy shots of my dodgy past; you may have seen the one of me on the yellow bike before, this is at least the right size this time. The bike actually belongs to a friend who lives in New Mexico (where this shot was taken...one of the best motorcycle trips I've ever had!) and is an original Amen Saviour frame, 6'' over front end, and honda SOHC 750 motor, all built and wired by the man himself. Excuse the daft bandana, that sun was so hot you could have cooked breakfast on my forehead. The 2nd shot is in more characteristic English drizzle, me trying to look like a gangster and failing miserably.

STOP PRESS oh yes, I have the shots of filler's new project flathead, it a rocker and a shocker, stay tuned for more on this motor, believe me it's gonna be one of the best in the UK.

the non-big ern files #2

here's some jap bikes even a full-on redneck would dig. Funny bike, top fuel, competeition bike, god only knows what they are, you'd better have a big pair if you wanna ride one.

the non-big ern files

The best thing about when I lived in Herts was it was only an hour from Santa Pod, so many good days were spent at the fabled Brit dragstrip. My mrs found some shots from one of our trips, so here's a few for your entertainment and edification. Yes I've posted 'Al's Gasser' before, but this is my shot, and it's undoubtedly one of the coolest dragsters in the UK. Anyway, hope you like 'em, I got a few more to post, mostly bikes of course.

high dollar high class

I snapped this beauty when I saw that black sporty round at battz last year. Stripped down look, looks like an 'aftermarket' Pan-style motor with belt drive, I kinda like the simple style cues, subtle paint, skinny mags, all good.

'B52 baby, way up in the sky...

...come drop your lovin' on me, child...' great protest lyrics from The Cult there. if only bin laden had been listening to 'Electric' instead of watching Arsenal in the 80s, how different the world might have been.

Anyway, in a brief departure, every chopper nut's gotta have a bit of a thing for military hardware, right? And it don't get much harder than this here Avro Vulcan, snapped by yours truly as it left Bournemouth airport the other day. I was at work and just passing, and got the shot on my crumby phone while matey i was working with couldn't get his iPhone to work.

normal service will resume shortly!
